Sharon Lobo, AIA, President
Indus Architects was founded by Sharon Lobo AIA in January of 2012. An alumnus of Thornton Tomasetti, Fox & Fowle, Swanke Hayden Connell and other large A/E firms in New York City, she leads the firm with a diverse range of experience. Ms. Lobo is a graduate of the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, at the Cooper Union, in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut & Texas States. She is a member of the AIA, NCARB, and ABA.
Michael Fahy, AIA, Principal in Charge
Mr. Fahy is a leading member of the Indus team, one who directs the overall project Quality Control and Quality Assurance program. He oversees the Project Management team, assembles proposals and assists in project procurement. A graduate of The New York Institute of Technology (Old Westbury Campus) with a Bachelor of Architecture, he is licensed in the States of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Mr. Fahy is also a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
Thom Freeman, AIA, Senior Architect
Mr. Freeman is a graduate of Drexel University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He also is a licensed Architect in New York and New Jersey. He is LEED AP Certified, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. Mr. Freeman specializes in the design of residential, sports arenas and commercial buildings.
Cristian Henriquez, AIA, Senior Architect
A graduate of Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, Mr. Henriquez is a licensed Architect in the State of New York. He is also a member of the American Institute of Architects. Mr. Henriquez has extensive knowledge of ADA, Zoning and building codes. He thoughtfully applied these conceptual code principles to real-world situations.
Amy Vaughan, AIA, Senior Architect
Ms. Vaughan has a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Institute in Atlanta, Georgia and a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute in New York City. She is knowledgeable of the quality of construction and pricing of high-end residential properties. Ms. Vaughan has extensive experience in managing complex residential construction projects, with a deep understanding of construction processes and operations as they pertain to residential construction. Ms. Vaughan is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. She is licensed in the State of New York
Zbigniew Markiewicz, Associate Architect
Mr. Markiewicz is a graduate of the City University of New York, with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He is certified in the use of suspended and supported scaffolds, and is OSHA trained. Mr. Markiewicz performs site inspections and has extensive experience with Local Law 11 and exterior wall restoration projects. He performs punch lists, site probes, cost estimates and reports on a wide array of project types and sizes.
Nishi Jarmarwala, Associate Architect
Ms. Jarmawala is a graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia, with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. She is a certified member of the national Kitchen and Bath Association. She also has a certification as a Class One Filing Representative with the New York City Department of Buildings. She is experienced in developing interior design from concept into technical construction drawings. She leads the Indus team in many on-site field projects, and has managed large teams of consultants and contractors.
Arvin Garay, Associate Architect
Mr. Garay has a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Puerto Rico, and a Master of Architecture from the GSAPP at Columbia University in the City of New York. Mr. Garay is OSHA Certified and is an Associate member of the American Institute of Architects. He has a certification as a Class One Filing Representative with the New York City Department of Buildings. Mr. Garay performs site inspections, prepared construction drawings and façade and roof restoration projects. He also works extensively in litigation support roles.
Oran Revivo, Junior Architect
Mr. Revivo has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan. He has gained experience with architectural firms in both Miami and Washington DC. Mr. Revivo has significant Job Site experience as a construction worker in New York City. He is certified in the use of suspended and supported scaffolds, and is OSHA trained.
Meher Sahney, Junior Architect
Ms. Sahney is a graduate of the California State University in Fresno, with a Bachelor of Art in Interior Design. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Project Management at the University of Harrisburg, PA. Ms. Sahney is OSHA and suspended scaffold trained. She is an invaluable member of litigation and field inspection teams.
Cesar Villarreal, Junior Architect
Mr. Villarreal comes to Indus with a background in site surveying and technical architecture. He has assisted in repair drawings and construction expert witness matters. He has a firm grasp of construction techniques and is well versed in interpreting the design intent into a built work. He has also been an invaluable resource in the preparation of construction litigation matters. He works well within large teams as well as on smaller projects.
Tarrance Jones, Office Administrator
Mr. Jones comes to Indus from a background of retail sales and marketing. His communication and interpersonal skills assist Indus in developing a strategic vision in marketing development. He has strong presentation skills and is adept in managing vendors, consultants and team members. He is highly motivated and is a valued member of the Indus team.
Eric Fernandez, Operations & Development
Mr. Fernandez has been involved with Indus Architects since its inception, in January 2012. He currently oversees much of the internal operations. With over twenty-five years experience in marketing and sales, Mr. Fernandez regularly strategizes with principal staff and ownership concerning the growth, direction and marketing for the firm.
