What Can An Expert Do For Your Case?

Providing clarity, insight, and authoritative guidance in construction disputes.

1.      Read the opposing expert’s report and interpret technical into layman language.

2.      Read the legal complaint and assess the issues.

3.      Read the architect’s drawings and specifications. What did they design technically? Did their design meet codes and industry standards?

4.      Perform site inspections- Did the built work comply with the project design, building codes and industry standards?

5.      Compare the opposing side’s opinions to industry standards – “usual and customary”.

6.      Prepare “order of magnitude” cost estimate to cure the design or construction deficiencies.

7.      Prepare Powerpoint presentations for Mediation, Arbitration or Trial.

8.      Meet with other experts to discuss the matter and propose possible technical solutions.

9.      Assess the opposing side’s repair recommendations. Are they “gold plating” the repair?

10. Testify in depositions – Explain the basis for my opinions, and how building codes and industry standards apply to the project.

11. Testify at Mediation, Arbitration and Trial – Explain to Mediators, Arbitrators, Judges and juries how the parties were responsible for compliance based upon their contracts and customary roles in the design and construction process.
